🌱 Our Story
PetalWave began with a dream and a flower cart in downtown Portland. In 2011, founder Mara Ellis set out to bring the joy of seasonal flowers to her neighborhood — one bouquet at a time.
What started as a weekend pop-up soon became a blooming obsession. With each handcrafted bouquet, Mara saw how flowers could brighten someone’s day, heal a heart, or celebrate a milestone.
Inspired by that emotional connection, she began to build a network of like-minded florists across the country.
By 2014, PetalWave had grown beyond Oregon, partnering with florists in California, Washington, and beyond. By 2020 — we had trusted florist partners in every U.S. state, offering same-day delivery nationwide.
Today, PetalWave continues to grow, but our mission remains the same: spread joy through beautiful, meaningful, and heartfelt arrangements — from coast to coast.
